The European Commission is preparing to introduce the Data Centre Energy Efficiency Package in Q1 2026, including the Delegated Regulation on the DC Rating Scheme. Ahead of the formal consultation process, this roundtable provides a valuable forum for exchanging insights and perspectives on the evolving regulatory landscape for data centres in the EU.

Building on the comprehensive DC Reporting Scheme established under the Energy Efficiency Directive (EED), the sector has completed its first two reporting cycles in 2024 and 2025 and is preparing for the third cycle in May 2026. The upcoming DC Rating Scheme will introduce EU-wide labeling for data centre buildings and is expected to align with—and potentially amend—the existing Reporting Scheme framework established by the first Delegated Regulation.
